With over 30 years in the waterproofing and foundation repair business, PERMA-DRY has emerged as Canada’s leader in dry basements and concrete repair. PERMA-DRY pioneered a revolutionary product called PERMA-SEAL, formulated by founder Bill Cole and a team of chemists and engineers. Their product repairs cracked and leaky foundations from the inside, eliminating the need for costly and messy excavation. PERMA-SEAL is pressure-injected into a crack and the resin adheres to the concrete surface providing a custom-fit seal throughout the entire thickness of a wall. It can even be injected when water is pouring through!</p>
<p>PERMA-DRY came to Capture wanting to revamp their branding. The use of the rainbow has always been the distinguishing brand icon for them, and had been used in their former company name and logo, PERMA-CRETE. We focused on strengthening the rainbow and chose a typeface that was equally as bold. The new logo was thoroughly tested for flexibility in scaling as the logo had to work at very small and large sizes, ranging from Facebook ads and company uniforms, to building signage and vehicle graphics.</p>

<p>The new <a href="http://permadry.com/" target="_blank">website</a> had to focus mainly on two audiences. The first being the average homeowner who has a water problem in their basement. The second being business people who were looking for an business opportunity in the franchise marketplace.</p>
<p>With a strong desire for the website to be flexible and highly functional for end users, the website does not use flash but still incorporates animation elements (see the <a href="http://permadry.com/index.php/contact-us" target="_blank">Contact Us</a> page). This makes the site usable for iPhone/iPad users and works seamlessly with any other smart phone. <a href="http://permadry.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Visit &gt; PERMA-DRY</strong></a></p>

Upon closer examination the quality of their construction is of the highest caliber. Their brand had to communicate the quality of their craftmanship across the various streams of advertising; web, print, and onsite signage.</p>
<p>One of the prominent goals for Highgate on the web is that they should have their own unique personality to stand out from the crowd. The website evokes an intellectual attention to detail by the use of subtle lines. To further strengthen the companies trademark use of stone materials, the left side of the website depicts the stacking of stones which have a truly graphic appeal. The site also incorporates the use of a smooth gallery of their homes, with large images to show viewers the up-close details of their work. With nothing to hide and everything to show, the Highgate website has been a very useful tool for the company in generating new business. </p>

<p>Highgate&#8217;s new kitfolder design uses a custom door flap on the front to enclose the folder. The dead bolt on the door secures the folder to help keep the insert sheets from falling out. A metallic ink was used with an added varnish to give it an extra shine. </p>

Their website, targeted at young professionals, needed to be simple and had to communicate the professional but warm environment in which the staff worked. The simple wordmark typography of the brand connotes a medical feel and uses two subtle abstract lines that double as gentle waves and hands.</p>
<p>The site draws the user into the environment by means of large photos of their work spaces. Users are encouraged to get to know the staff at Fairview Chiropractic &#038; Massage by the reinforcement of photos and the use of short bios.</p>

The clinic dispenses customized health advice and appropriate immunizations to their clients so the brand had to retain a composed medical industry feeling. But also drawing from the travel advice and exotic looking office, we kept a bold flare to the brand. The logo of the palm tree leaves acts as a double entendre to the medical cross &#8211; thus creating a memorable impression for the viewer of the two main services of the clinic coming together.</p>
<p>A wealth of images from exotic travel destinations come to mind when a project of this nature arrives, but the website had to promote a careful balance of travel as well as the health and safety side to the clinic. The owner, Isobel Napier, was a delight to work with as she was excited to incorporate an exotic art deco look with a combination of modern web design esthetics and functions.</p>

<p>The Grand Pré sign helps tell the story of Evangeline. Using the staple vinyl used on all government signs, a metallic copper-like vinyl was used for the Evangeline statue to help add realism.<br />
